Simplicity Yoga is a dedicated Yoga studio located at the rear of 3 Cobb Crescent in Ainslie ACT, offering Hatha Yoga classes to small groups of students. 

​

Simplicity Yoga is a safe alignment based yoga class that strives to make Yoga accessible to the community regardless of age, sex, experience, ability, ethnicity or religion. 

​

Whether you've been practicing yoga for years or whether you are looking for a new way to find peace with your body and mind, yoga is a great place to start. No matter what stage you are in your personal Yoga practice, Simplicity Yoga classes cater to all students, beginners, intermediate and advanced as all poses can be modified.

​

In daily life, we sit at desks, cars or complete repetitive movements that limit how we use our body. A physical Yoga practice moves the spine in different directions. Yoga builds strength, stability, balance and mobility in our bodies. Yoga is also a mental and emotional practice that allows us to explore thoughts and feelings for clarity of mind. Overtime, we learn more about our patterns of behaviour to make more informed choices in daily life.

Simplicity Yoga places safety first and allows students to work at a level that suit their ability. Students are encouraged to make conscious decisions in their practice to reflect kindness and respect to their bodies. The use of modifications and props (blankets, bolsters, straps and blocks) will allow everyone to “touch” the pose. 

​

Yoga is not learning how to stand on your head, it’s a process of learning how to stand on your feet in daily life. 

​

Try Yoga in a small, safe and supportive environment and enjoy the benefits of improved flexibility, awareness of breath and relaxation to support you in daily life. 

Our Classes

General Hatha Yoga

In General Hatha yoga classes, poses can be practiced and modified to suit most abilities. The use of modifications and props (blocks, straps, blankets and bolsters) will allow students to practice within their own limitations. General classes combine both active and restorative yoga.

Restorative Yoga

A deeply soothing practice where poses are held longer with the support of props including blankets, bolsters and blocks to relax the body, calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety and stress.  Suitable for any level of fitness.

Gentle Hatha Yoga

A gentle Hatha Yoga class for anyone new to yoga. A great class for students with knee, hip, wrist, shoulder or other mobility issues and students who simply prefer a slow paced gentle yoga class.
